من أهم المشكلات التي تواجهنا في فهم بعض الإستعمالات اللغوية في أرثنا اللغوي ولا سيما نصوص القرآن الكريم والحديث النبوي هي مشكلة تظهر في عدم التلاؤم بين الكلمة وما يتطابق معها، نحوياً أو دلالياً، وقد عالج علماؤنا المسلمين والعرب من أهل النحو والتفسير وشراح الحديث هذه الإشكالية النحوية الدلالية، بطرائق منها (علة الحمل على المعنى)، وبذلك يصبح النص مفهوماً، وخاضعاً لضوابط التأويل.
وهذا الكتاب يعرض هذه العلة بأسلوب قريب المأخذ، ويعضدها بالتطبيق على الحديث النبوي، فالحمل على المعنى وسيلة مهمة استعان بها النحويون في تعليل الترخص في كثير من المسائل النحوية بقرينة المعنى، مما يتوخى في هذا الكتاب من فائدة تتجلى في تخريج المعاني من الأحاديث التي تستنبط بمعرفة الإعراب وأوجهه المحتملة إعتماداً على وسيلة الحمل على المعنى.
وفكرة الكتاب تقوم - كما هو مبيّنٌ من عنوانه - على إتخاذ أحاديث أصح كتاب بعد كتاب الله تعالى وهو صحيح أبي عبد الله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري (ت 256هـ) ميداناً للدراسة.
أما بناء الكتاب وخطته فقد اقتضى منهج الدراسة أن يقوم على تمهيد وفصولٍ أربعةٍ وخاتمةٍ، وقد اشتمل التمهيد على مطلبين، الأول: التعريف بالإمام البخاري ذاكرين شغفه في طلب العلم ومكانته العلمية ومظهرين حرص الإمام البخاري ودقّته على تسجيل الأحاديث في صحيحه، وكان التعريف به مقتصداً، لأنّ من عرف بالإمام البخاري في الدراسات القديمة والحديثة غير قليل، مما يجعل ما قدمناه طال أو قصر وقوعاً على أثر.
أما المطلب الثاني فقد عرضنا فيه للحديث عن الحمل على المعنى، فأوضحنا فيه ما المقصود بـ (الحمل على المعنى)، لغةً وإصطلاحاً، ثم بحثنا في قياس هذه الظاهرة، والأسباب المؤدية إلى لحمل على المعنى في الحديث الشريف.
