إن الأتقياء الأخفياء قوم استقاموا على كتاب الله وعلى سنة رسول الله "صلى الله عليه وسلم" وكان تعاملهم مع الله في عسرهم ويسرهم ومنشطهم ومكرههم، ولذلك كرهوا الشهرة. ولابد من عودة مخلصة صادقة لمعالم الهدى والتقى إصلاحًا للظاهر والباطن والشر والعلانية، لابد من العمل بطاعة الله على نور من الله راجين ثواب الله، وترك معصية الله على نور من الله مخافة عذاب الله، مع ترك ما لا بأس به حذرًا مما به بأس ومحاسبة النفس على مثاقيل الذر.
لابد من تربية النفس ومجاهدتها طلبًا لسعادة الدارين، والسعي الحثيث لإقامة الدنيا على أساس من دين الله، بحيث يشمل ذلك جميع نواحي الحياة.
