كتابٌ لطيفٌ مُنتقًى من كتاب العلّامة عبد الله سراج الدين «سيِّدنا محمد رسول الله»، التقط فيه المحقق بسام حجازي باب: (الأربعون السراجيَّة)، خدم فيها الأحاديث النَّبويَّة الواردة فيه رواية ودراية تتبع فيها الروايات صحيحها وضعيفها، وقدَّم لها بتعريفٍ لفن تصنيف الأربعينيات الحديثيَّة، وبترجمة نفيسة للمؤلف. ومما يميِّز هذه الأحاديث الأربعين أنَّها اختَّصَّت بالجانب البلاغيِّ من حديث رسول الله، الجانب الذي كثيرًا ما كان يغفل درسًا لا ذكرًا؛ إذ تعدُّ هذه الأحاديث مثالًا على أسلوبه عليه الصلاة والسلام. وفيها منهجٌ جديدٌ لدارسي الحديث وهو دراس جانب معيَّن دقيق في حديثه عليه الصلاة والسلام، والاستشهاد عليه بأمثلة دقيقة موجَّهة توجيهات علميَّة بمّا يتناسب وروح العصر في دراسة النصوص أدبيًّا قضائيًّا وشرعيًّا وتاريخيًّا كالجانب التاريخي الَّذي تمَّ درسه في كتاب «الشام وإرهاصات الملحمة الكبرى» أو اجتماعيًّا ككتاب «فوائد غض البصر ومخاطر إطلاقه».
