قضيت نصف قرن مع السيد طالب الرفاعي في املاء هذه المذكرات وكانت رحلة ممتعة مع اشواط الذاكرة المصرية لمعتمد المرجعية النجفية وامام الشيعة في مصر (وهو لقب توصيف لم ينفرد به سوى السيد طالب الرفاعي حتى يومنا هذا).
في هذه الاملاءات الثانية بعد املاءاته الاولى الني انجزها وحررها الباحث رشيد خيون، يسلط الضوء على الفترة التي قضاها في مصر خلال عقدين من الزمن بصفته (اماما للشيعة) هناك، وما احتفظت به ذاكرته من مواقف وذكريات واسماء، تبتدئ بعلاقاته مع الرؤوساء عبد الناصر والسادات، الى علاقاته بمشايخ الازهر، ونساء مصر البارزات في حقول السياسة والادب والاحزاب والثقافة كـ (بنت الشاطئ) و(صافيناز كاظم) و(تحية كاظم زوجة الرئيس الراحل جمال عبد الناصر)، وكذالك الداعية الاخوانية (زينب الغزالي)، وتضمنت هذه الاملاءات فصولا تحكي عن تاسيساته الاولى وما كابده في سبيل نشر مذهب التشيع داخل البيئة الشيعية التي تتفوق على البيئات العربية والاسلامية بتقبلها لمذهب التشيع بسبب تاريخها الفاطمي القريب ووجود أزهرها الشاخص على تلك الدولة الشيعية، مع وجود العقبات في تحقيق هذه المهمة التي انتدبها له المرجع الامام السيد محسن الحكيم نهاية عام 1969م.
