نقرأ مع المؤلف-رحمه الله تعالى- بعض سطوره التى خطها فى مقدمته, إذ يقول: "وليس فيما عازنا من هذه الأمور التى وقع فيها الحظر والإطلاق شئ اختلف فيه الناس اختلافهم فى الأشربة, وكيفية ما يحل منها وما يحرم, على قديم الأيام, مع قرب العهد بالرسول (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وتوافر الصحابة, وكثرة العلماء المأخوذ عنهم, والمقتدى بهم...".
ويمضى بنا المؤلف- رحمه الله تعالى- فى عرض "بانوراما" للموضوع, ثم يشمر عن ساعده ليخوض غمار الموضوع, فيعرض حجج المحرمين لجميع ما أسكر, ثم حجج المحلين لما دون السكر, ثم يوضح غلط الفرق بالغو, ثم يضع النقاط فوق الحروف فيذكر لنا عدل القول فى الشراب, خارجا بذلك من الإفراط والتقصير. وهو فى كل هذا- ولشدة صدقه وأمانته- يكاد يقنعك فى كل موقف بما يعرضه.
فهو حين يعرض حجج المحرمين لجميع ما أسكر- يجعلك تقول: هذا هو الرأى الصواب ولا ثانى له, ثم يأخذك ليعرض عليك حجج المحلين لما دون السكر فتشعر أنك تسرعت الحكم السابق, ثم يزيدك حيرة حين يقول لك: إن كلا الرأيين قد جانبه الصواب, وإذا به- وبمنتهى البساطة- فى الدليل المستخدم من القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية المطهرة يأخذ بيديك ويضعك على جادة الطريق الحق الذى لا اعوجاج فيه.
