هذه تراجم نفيسة لثلاثة من كبار أئمة الإسلام في القرن الثامن الهجري وهم: شيخ الإسلام، وعلى الأعلام أبو العباس ابن تيمية. الحافظ الرحلة علم الدين البرزالي، الحافظ الكبير جمال الدين المزي.
وقد استللها "محمد ناصر العجمي" من كتاب "ذيل تاريخ الإسلام" للحافظ الناقد شمس الدين الذهبي، وهي تراجم لأول مرة تخرج، ولا يخفى على أهل العلم أنها من خبير بأحوال هؤلاء الأئمة الثلاثة فهو تلميذهم ومعاصرهم، وقد ذكر فيها ما لم يرد في كتب التراجم، وذكر فيها رأيه الصريح عن هؤلاء الصحبة الميمونة وما كانوا عليه من فضل وعلم وتقى وصلاح، كل هذا بعبارات جزلة وكلمات عذبة، مع ذكر ما لهم من مكانة في صدره، وما يحمله لهم من محبة صادقة.
