تاريخ مكة المشرفة المسمى بـالأخبار المكية
فهذه ترجمة لكتاب (تاريخ مكة المشرفة المسمى بالأخبار المكية) ، لمؤلفه محمد عاشق الرومي الحنفي ، الذى كان حياً سنة 1022هـ / 1613م ، وكتب تاريخه عن مكة المكرمة سنة 1011هـ / 1602م باللسان التركي العثماني .
ولا أعلم أنه ترجم إلى اللسان العربي ، وقد استحسنت ترجمته ليندرج ضمن سلسلة مصادر تاريخ مكة المكرمة العربية ، زادها الله تعالى تعظيماً وتشريفاً .
يذكر المؤلف محمد عاشقي في كتابه هذا معلومات المؤرخ المعاصر للأحداث التي علمها في وقته ، أو شارك فيها بنفسه ، في فترة حكم السلاطين العثمانيين الذين عاصرهم .
وتعتبر المعلومات التي أضافها المؤلف في تاريخه ، مكملة لما أورده العز جار الله محمد بن فهد المكي ، الذي كتب كتابه " الجواهر الحسان في مناقب السلطان سليمان بن عثمان " ، ثم توفى سنة 954ه أي في زمن حكم السلطان سليمان ، ثم توفي السلطان سليمان سنة 974ه ، وهذا يعنى أن أحداث تاريخ مكة المكرمة في العشرين سنة المتبقية من حكم السلطان سليمان لم يسجلها المؤرخ العز محمد بن فهد بحكم وفاته ، وسجلها المؤرخ محمد عاشقي في كتابه هذا ، تسجيل المؤرخ المعاصر لفترة السلطان سليمان ، ومن بعده من سلاطين آل عثمان الذين عاصرهم المؤلف، والسابق ذكرهم .
ومن هنا تظهر أهمية كتاب " الأخبار المكية " .
