إن حجة الوداع هي الحجة الوحيدة التي قام بها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، والتي صاحبه فيها مئات من الصحابة رضي الله عنهم، واهتم عدد كبير منهم برواية ووصف كل ما صدر عنه فيها من قولٍ أو فعلٍ، ممَّا جعلها معلماً هامّاً من معالم سيرته صلى الله عليه وسلم.
وشاءت إرادة الله عزّ وجلّ أن يؤديها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في السنة العاشرة للهجرة، وقبل وفاته بشهور قليلة لتكون إكمالاً وإتماماً لسُنَّته في العبادات، فأقواله وأفعاله وتحرُّكَاتُهُ في هذه الحجَّة بمثابة دستور يُتَّبَعُ في أداء مناسكِ الحجِّ، فهو القدوة والأسوةُ لجميع المسلمين.
لذا أردت ان أتتبع خطوات رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذه الحجة خطوةً خطوةً منذ خرج من المدينة المنورة حتى دخل مكة المكرّمة، أرافقه في خُطُواته إلى عرفاتٍ فمزدلفة فمنىً، إلى أن عاد إلى المدينة، مُوضِّحاً كُلَّ ذلك بإيراد الأحاديث والآثار التي روتها كُتُبُ السُّنَّةِ، خاصَّةً ما جاء في الصَّحيحيْن، والسُّنَنِ الأربعةِ، ومُوطَّإ مالكٍ، ومُسندِ أحمد.
وقد قسمتُ ما وردَ من أقوالٍ وأفعالٍ وقضايا وصفتِ الحجَّة النَّبَويَّةَ إلى مراحل جاءت على النحو التالي: 1-مرحلة الإعداد للحجِّ ومقدِّمَاتِ الإحرام، 2-مرحلةُ الإحرامِ حتى وصوله مكَّة المكرَّمة، 3-مرحلةُ دخول المسجد الحرامِ، والطَّوافِ، والسَّعْيِ حتَّى وُصُولِهِ منىً في يومٍ التَّروية، 4-مرحلة أفعاله في عرفة ومُزدلفةَ، 5-مرحلةُ أفعالهِ في يومِ النَّحْرِ، 6-مرحلةُ أفعالِهِ في أيَّام التشريق، 7-مرحلة الوداع حتى وصوله إلى المدينة المنوَّرة.
