تشكو اللغة العربية في هذه الحقبة من هجران واسع ومن إستثقال كبير، حيث أصبح النشء بل وعامة الناس ينظرون إليها نظرة إستصعاب وإستحالة.. مما جعل مادة العربية في المدارس في مقدمة المواد الصعبة التي تقف حجر عثرة أمام الطلاب والدراسين في مختلف المراحل التعليمية. ولا شك أن هذه الوضعية تستدعي من الباحثين والدراسين تسليط الضوء على واقع تدريس اللغة العربية، ومدى إستفادة المناهج الدراسية من الأساليب والتقنيات التربوية الحديثة في مجال تدريس اللغات، بهدف ترغيب النشء في تعلم لغتها الأم، وتحفيز الدراسين على العناية أكثر بهذا الجانب، بكل ما يعنيه ذلك من دعم لخصوصيتنا الثقافية، وحفاظ على الهوية الحضارية للأمة.
وقد تنبه لهذه الظاهرة بعض طلاب العلم الجادين وقاموا بمحاولات نافعة في هذا المجال أسهمت في تيسير الأمر وتقريبه من إمكان التطبيق. ومن هذه المحاولات الجادة المفيدة ما قام به الشيخ/ المصطفى السالك الشنقيطي في كتابه "دروس الكلاب والمعلمين على نظم عبيد رب العالمين" وقد ذلَل الشيخ مصطفى هذه المادة بهذا العمل الذي ظهر فيه جهده المبارك، وذوقه النحوي العميق، من خلال منهجية تقرب البعيد وتذلل الصعب، بدروس موزعة على الأبواب الأساسية في النحو بلغت أربعين درساً، عني في كل درس منها بما يناسب المبتدئين، كما أنه لم يغفل الفوائد والتنبهات والتعليلات التي تفيد المعلمين، فكان وسم كتابه كاسمه جامعاً في إفادته بين الطالب والمعلم، مفيداً أيضاً للمختصين.
