يأتي هذا الكتاب في ثلاثة أقسام: القسم الأول جاء بعنوان (قواعد الأصول ومعاقد الفصول) ويدرس مختصر تحقيق الأمل في علمي الأصول والجدل للعلامة "صفي الدين الحنبلي" وهو كتاب في الفقه ويضم ثلاثة أبواب: الباب الأول في "الحكم ولوازمة" ويعني بها حد الحكم والحاكم، وما هي الأحكام التكليفية، والأحكام الوضعية وما يظهر به الحكم الصحيح، أما الباب الثاني فيبحث في "الأدلة" ويتضمن أصول الأدلة الأربعة وهي (الكتاب، والسنة، والإجماع) وهي سمعية، ويتفرغ عنها القياس والاستدلال، والرابع عو عقلي (استصحاب الحال). وأما الباب الثالث فيأتي في (الاجتهاد والتقليد)، ما هي شروط المجتهد؟ أما التقليد ففيه ما لا يسوغ فيه التقليد كالأصولية، وما يسوغ وهو الفروعية؟.
أما القسم الثاني من هذا الكتاب فجاء بعنوان: (مختصر المقنع في فقه الإمام أحمد) من تأليف العلامة شرف الدين أبي النجا موسى بن أحمد الحجاوي" وهو كتاب في الفقه على مذهب الإمام أحمد بن حنبل وفيه تحقيق مفصل لأكثر من عشرين مسألة في الفقه، على مذهب أهل السنة منها (كتاب الطهارات)، (كتاب الصلاة)، (كتاب الجنائز)، (كتاب الصيام)... الخ.
ويأتي القسم الثالث والأخير في (شرح نخبة الفكر) في مصطلح أهل الأثر، وهو من تاليف الحافظ "أحمدد بن علب بن محمد ابن حجر العسقلاني" ويبحث في كثرة التصانيف في اصطلاح أهل الحديث والأئمة في القديم والحديث، بدءاً من أول من صنف "الزامهرمزي" و"لنيسابوري"، و"الأصبهاني"، ومن جاء بعدهم من المتعقبين مثل "البغدادي" وغيره من المحدثين الذين أخذوا عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فمنهم من اشتغل بالتواريخ (الاخباريون) ومنهم من اشتغل بالسنة النبوية (المحدَثون)، فما هي الطرق التي وصلت إلينا، بها هذه الأحاديث والتصانيف وما هي اسنادها؟ كل ذلك نجده مفصلاً في هذا القسم من الكتاب.
