من لطائف المصنفات التي ميّزت آثار كثير من علماء المغرب المتأخرين، ما يُسمّى بكتب الختم، أو الختوم على الكتب الشهيرة المتداولة بالدرس والإقراء في المجالس والحلقات العلمية، وعادة ما يتزامن إعداد هذا النوع من التصانيف، مع حفل إنهاء إقراء الكتاب الذي وُضع الختم عليه.
وهذان الختمان من أشهر الختوم المصنفة على كتاب "الشمائل النبوية والخصائل المصطوفية" للإمام الحافظ أبي عيسى محمد ابن عيسى بن سَوْرَة الترمذي (ت 279هـ)، تناولاً بالشرح الأثرين الواردين عن ابن المبارك، وابن سيرين، اللّذن خَتَمَ بهما الترمذي كتابه، واعتنى العلامة جسوس بترجمة رُوَاة الأَثريْن، ثم شرح ألفاظهما شرحاً مفصلاً، مُعَزَّزاً بالأدلة والنصوص الشرعية، ومُطَرَّزاً بأقوال العلماء، وأشعار الأدباء، وعَقَدَ فصولاً في فضل العلم والعلماء وبيان آداب المتعلمين، ثم أنهى خَتْمَه بشرح حديث التسبيح "كلمتان حبيبتان إلى الرحمن".
أما العلامة ابن عَزُّوز، فضمّن خَتْمَه التنويه بشرف علم الحديث، وفَضْلَ الإشتغال به، وفصَل القول في بيان آداب طالب العلم الشرعي، وأورد في آخر ختمه جملة من الأدعية والأذكار النبوية، الواردة في ختم المجالس، تكفيراً لما قد يقع عليها من الخطأ والزلل، كما دأب عليه الصالحون، واختاره وسار عليه العلماء الربانيون.
