من نعم الله على هذه الأمة المرحومة أن هيأ لها بعد نبيها "صلى الله عليه وسلم" أئمة ربانيين، قاموا بأمر الله خير قيام، فنصر الله بهم السنة، وقمع بهم البدعة، وجعلهم أئمة يهتدى بهديهم، ويقتدى برأيهم؛ ومن هؤلاء الأئمة الإمام أبي جعفر الطحاوي "رحمه الله"، الذي أمضى عمره في الدعوة إلى الله، وتقرير العقيدة السلفية، ومحاربة البدع والضلالات، وكتب في ذلك كتبًا كثيرة، كان من أصغرها حجمًا، وأكثرها نفعًا في تقرير عقيدة أهل السنة والجماعة (العقيدة الطحاوية)، التي وقعت عند العلماء موقعًا حسنًا، فعنوا بها حفظًا، ودرسًا، وكتبت عليها شروح كثيرة؛ وكان من أفضل هذه الشروح التي انتقيناها وجمعنا بينها شرح الشيخ علي بن أبي العز الحنفي، والشيخ عبد العزيز ابن مانع، والشيخ عبد العزيز بن باز، والشيخ محمد ناصر الدين الألباني، والشيخ عبد الرحمن البراك، والشيخ صالح الفوزان "رحمهم الله".
