يولد شعر المديح النبوي والاحتفال بذكرى المولد الشريف حين تهب نسائم الشوق إلى الجناب المحمدي على صاحبه أزكى الصلاة والسلام، وعندما تعتلج الذكرى في قلوب المحبين وتتحرك مواجيدهم حبًّا في سيد المرسلين صلى الله عليه وسلم.
وقد حاو قصب السبق في ذلك أهل الذوق من شعراء المحبة، ومن بينهم العلّامة الأديب العارف بالله الشيخ سيدي محمد بن الشيخ سيديَّ الكبير الأبييري الشنقيطي ( 1247-1286 هـ ) في مولديته البديعة التي هي واحدة من أجمل القصائد المولدية في الشعر الإسلامي خلال القرن الثالث عشر الهجري، فقد وصفها مؤرِّخ الأدب العربي العلّامة الدكتور شوقي ضيف بقوله إنها "مِدْحَة مولديه بارعة" وذلك في موسوعته " تاريخ الأدب العربي"
ومحاولةً منا في تقريب المعاني الذوقية لهذه القصيدة المولدية، وتلمس جوانب الإبداع في أساليبها البلاغية، جاء هذا الشرح الأدبي، والتذوُّق الجمالي، والبيان الشرعيّ، والرصد الفني لأهم خصائص هذه القصيدة ومقوماتها الجمالية ودلالاتها البيانية وإشاراتها العرفانية ومعانيها الشرعية، ونرجو أن يجد القارىء الكريم فيه مرتعًا أدبيًّا خصبًا ومراحًا علميًّا نافعًا.
