تعدّدت وجوه التصنيف في تفسير القرآن الكريم عبر العصور، فمن العلماء من ألف في تفسير القرآن الكريم كاملاً، ومنهم من ألّف في تفسير آيةٍ أو سورةِ أو سُورٍ مخصوصةِ منه، ومنهم من جمع بين المسلكين.
ومن جهة أخرى تنوّعت جوانب عنايتهم، فمنهم من أَولى الجانب الفقهيّ أكثر عنايته أو اقتصر عليه، وكذا فعل آخرون في جوانب اللغة والنحو والبلاغة، ومال فريقٌ إلى إظهار أنواع من الدلالات، والكشف عن وجوه المناسبات، بينما مال آخرُ إلى بيان المعاني وتوضيح المراد، من غير إطالة ولا إستطراد.
وهذا الكتابُ الموسومُ بــ "الأنوار الواضحة في تفسير الفاتحة" كتابٌ فريدٌ من نوعه، خصَه مؤلّفُه لتفسير الفاتحة، يعني الآية الفاتحة لكتاب الله تعالى لا السُّورة بتمامها، مُقتصراً على الجانب العقديّ من مباحث الثناء على الله تعالى، ومُعتنياً بإيراد الحجج والأدلة، بعبارة مُيسرة مُوجَزة، واستطرد في ذلك إلى شرح أسماء الله الحسنى.
والكتابُ يُطبَع لأوّل مرّة مقابلاً على أصلين خطيّين، ومرشّحاً بالتعليقات العلمية، ومذيّلاً ببحث مهم في تحرير معنى (التوقيف) المشترط في إطلاق الأسماء من الله تعالى.
