Book Description
إذن فالنقد المستمر هو تطوير لنجاح التجربة الحضارية للإنسانية كلها. والحداثة في حقيقتها تقوم على الفكر النقدي الذي يرفض الاستسلام السهل لكل مناهل التراث. والحضارة التي تنتقد ذاتها هي من أطول الحضارات عمراً، ومعروف عبر مسيرة التاريخ الطويلة أنّ الصحيح نفسه هو دائماً بحاجةٍ إلى تصحيح. فما يكون صحيحاً اليوم قد لا يكون صحيحاً غداً.
واليقظة الساهرة هي ضمان دوام المدنية، وهي من مُطَوِّلاتِ عمرِ الحضارة، فالأمة يجب أن تحب السلام، وتسعى لسيادته، لأنّ السلام هو ضمان الاستقرار المتحرك إلى الأمام إنسانياً وإبداعياً، ولكن السلام هو أيضاً بحاجة إلى حماية لأنّ المصالح تستهدفه، ولذا على الحضارة أن تكون ذات قوةٍ تحمي إنجازاتها الحضارية، وهذا يعني أن تكون دائماً على أهبة الاستعداد للقتال، والقتال بهذا المعنى لا يكون عدوانياً لأنه يحمي ما هو نافع للجميع. وقوة اليقظة الساهرة يجب أن تكون دائماً مَقُودَةً بالحكمة، لأن الحكمة هي أقوى أسلحة القوة، وإذا تخلت القوة عن الحكمة في أدائها وممارساتها تحولتْ إرهاباً ولم تعد قوة. والفرق شاسعٌ بين القوة والإرهاب، فالقوة تكون قوة بمقدار ما تعطي الإنسانية إنجازات واقية من الجهل والمرض والتخلف، أما الإرهاب فهو انحدار وجهل محاط بالظلام، وليس له من صفات القوة أي دليل. إنه عدو الحياة، وعدو كل ما تنجزه القوة من قيم وعطاء وتقدم.
