دراسة البلاغة القرآنية في واحد من بين أهم كتب التفسير عند المسلمين وهو تفسير (مجمع البيان) للطبرسي، تحاول الكشف عن جهود هذا المفسر في إستجلاء البلاغة القرآنية وتصور آراءه وتوضح منهجه فيها، وتبين تأثره وتأثيره في البحث البلاغي.
(البلاغة القرآنية في تفسير الطبرسي) قد يسهم في الكشف عن جهد واحد من أولئك المفسرين الذين كان لهم دور في بناء صرح البلاغة العربية بما نثروه من الملاحظات البلاغية في أثناء كتبهم.
هذه الدراسة أنها تقف أمام مفسر يطرق الأبواب البلاغية أينما وجد أن النص القرآني في هذا الموضع يتطلب منه أن يعنى بالمباحث البلاغية فيه، لكي يظهر إعجاز ذلك النص وتفوقه، أو ليوضح معناه ويظهر روعته، بمعنى أن ما ورد في مجمع البيان من الفنون البلاغية لم يكن هو المقصود الذي قصده الطبرسي وإنّما جاءت في سياق التفسير وكان يرمي من وراها إلى إيضاح المعنى المراد من الآية القرآنية، وتأكيد أن النص القرآني لا يمكن أن تشوبه شائبة من نقص أو عيب، بل هو فوق مستوى الشبهات.
