تمضي الدراسة بإتجاه رصد العلاقات النصيّة القائمة بين مكوّنات النص اللغويّة والفنّيّة أي بين مختلف آلياته القصّيّة وتقنياتها بوصف هذه العلاقات تشكّل محوراً مختلفاً عن محور العلاقات المعرفية الذي يدرس تعالق الوحدات الفكريّة والنفسيّة والإجتماعيّة.
وبذلك يكون لدينا محوران لإنتظام العلاقات النصّية: - المحور التقني: الذي يبحث في علاقات المكونات النصيّة على الصعيدين اللغوي والفنّي للنص، فيدرس العلاقات التي يمكن أن تقوم بين كل من السرد، والوصف، والشخصية، والحوار إلى ما هنالك من عناصر نصيّة أو مكونات... كما تدرس العلاقة بين مستويات السرد المختلفة، أو بين أنماط الشخصيّة، أو بين أنواع الوصف أو المعطيات المكانيّة والزمانية... إلخ.
-المحور المعرفي: "الأبستمولوجي" يبحث في مجموعة من الوحدات المعرفيّة، التي تكوّن رسالة النص الثقافيّة، والمخزون المعلوماتي للنص، وهي موزّعة على ثلاثة أنماط: الوحدات النفسيّة التي تشرح أحوال الشخصيات ضمن النص، وما يعتورها من ضغوط وإنفعالات، وتأثير هذه الوحدات على الكليّة النصيّة في تكوّنها.
والوحدات الإجتماعيّة التي تظهر التفاعل ما بين الفرد والمجتمع من حوله ضمن المنظومة النصيّة، وأثر المعطيات الإجتماعية في التكوين النصي، وأخيراً الوحدات الفكريّة التي تتجاوز محليّة المجتمع لتخدم الإنسانية جمعاء، وبتحديد هذه الوحدات وتبيان كيفية تعالقها يمكن الوقوف على النص بوصفه صورة مصغّرة للعالم، فالمُبْدِعُ يقدّم رؤيته للعالم من خلال النص.
