يعد موضوع هذا الكتاب خطوة من الخطوات التي تركز على المقارنة داخل المذهب التي في الغالب تكون الآراء المتخلفة داخل المذهب قليلة ولا سيما في علم الأصول لأنه عبارة عن قواعد كلية تبنى عليها المسائل الفقهية، فكان محور الدراسة تسليط الضوء على المباني الأصولية للعلماء وبيان الإختلاف في كل مبنى للتعرف على المسائل الفقهية المقارنة التي نتجت عن تعدد المباني الأصولية، مع التعرض للتطبيقات الفقهية في كتاب مفتاح الكرامة في شرح قواعد العلاَّمة.
لا يخفى إنَّ هكذا اطروحة تتجلى فيها الكثير من الغايات وأهمها معرفة مباني علماء الإماميَّة في المسائل الأصولية وتطور المسألة الأصولية عندهم مع بيان أثر هذا الإختلاف على المسائل الفقهية من خلال عرض العديد من التطبيقات الفقهية، فنتج عندنا على أساس ذلك الفقه المقارن، والهدف من هذه الأطروحة إضافة دراسة أصولية نظرية وتطبيقية عند علماء الإماميَّة مبنية على المقارنة فيما بينهم من خلال عرض مبانيهم وادلتهم التي استدلوا بها على تلك المباني، والتعرض للإشكالات التي أوردها العلماء على هذه المباني، مع التعرض للرأي الراجح والمشهور منها، مع التعرض لدراسة كتاب مفتاح الكرامة مع سعة مجلداته البالغة (ستة وعشرون مجلداً) الذي يعد من أهم الكتب الفقهية الإستدلالية التي تعرض فيها السيد جواد العاملي إلى شرح كتاب قواعد العلاَّمة، حيث يعد هذا الكتاب من الكتب التي لم تنل الإهتمام البالغ من ذوي الشأن، وقد عمدت إلى الإكثار من التطبيقات الفقيهة من هذا الكتاب وإبداء رأي السيد جواد العاملي في كل تطبيق منها سواء كان متفقاً مع المشهور في الرأي أو مختلف معهم في ذلك.
