في كتابه هذا يبيّن المهندس "عدنان الرفاعي" للناس الفارق بين السنة الشريفة من جهة، وبين الروايات الأخرى من تأويل دلالات كتاب الله تعالى وما يحمله من معانِ، وبين ما يلبس عليه في مورثاتنا التاريخية من روايات وتفاسير وتأويلات.
يعتبر مؤلف الكتاب أن أكبر مأساة في تاريخ الفكر المحسوب على الإسلام، هو استخدام السنة الشريفة كمظلة توضع تحتها كل الأهواء والعصبيات التي وصلتنا خلال التاريخ على أنها سنة من صلب الدين، وذلك عند السنة والشيعة على حد سواء، فمعظم التفسيرات والتأويلات لآيات القرآن الكريم، تتكىء برأيه على روايات تاريخية تم نسبها للسنة الشريفة فأصبحت – عندهم – معايير لتفسير كتاب الله .. وبالتالي تغيب الدلالات الحق التي أرادها الله تعالى.
لأجل ذلك ينطلق المؤلف من مقدمات قرآنية يشرح من خلالها مفهوم تدرج الرسالات السماوية، وكيف أن حكمة الله تعالى اقتضت تركّز الرسالة الخاتمة منهجاً ومعجزة في النص القرآني، لتكون رسالة فوق التاريخ وصالحة لكل زمانِ ومكان.. كذلك ينطلق الكاتب إلى تحديد مفهوم السنة الشريفة، وكيف أن علينا أن نميّز في شخص محمد (ص) بين صفتي الرسالة والنبوة، وأن جانب التشريع متعلق بصفة الرسالة .. كذلك يؤكد الكتاب أن القرآن الكريم كتب بين يديه (ص) كما هو مرسوم في اللوح المحفوظ، وأن السنة لم تكتب أبداً في حياة النبي (ص). وأن علم الحديث هو أقرب إلى التاريخ منه إلى المنهج. وأن تلك العلوم لا ترتقي إلى صفة العلم الذي يعني الوقوف على حقائق الأشياء لأنها مبنية على مقاربات تاريخية مليئة بالأهواء والعصبيات، ولأنها اتكأت على السند دون المتن ..
إن الشيء الهام الذي يقدمه مؤلف الكتاب هو أتباعه نهج التطبيق العملي من خلال وضعه روايات الأحاديث في ميزان القرآن والعقل والمنطق ليتبين لكل ذي عقل راجح، كيف أن هناك أحاديث كثيرة في الصحاح ينقضها كتاب الله تعالى ولا يقبلها عقل ولا منطق، وأن معظم حالات تأويل الأحاديث المتناقضة تنقضها قواعد اللغة العربية وثوابت العقل والمنطق ..
كتاب هام أراد مؤلفه القول أن كل المذاهب والطوائف – دون استثناء – ليست أكثر من نتاج سياسي لعصور سابقة، وأنها لم تكن – في يوم من الأيام – نتاجاً فكرياً علمياً مستنبطاً من المنهج .. ولأجل تبيين الحقيقة أكثر كان هذا الكتاب ... جدير بالإهتمام.
