الدونمة: كلمة تركية تعني العودة أو الرجوع، وقد أطلقت هذه الكلمة على فئة من اليهود سكنوا في المناطق القريبة من المملكة العثمانية ولعبوا دوراً هاماً ورئيسياً في إضعاف هذه الإمبراطورية وزاد نشاطهم بعد الانقلاب العثماني عام 1909 الذي تحقق على أيدي الاتحاديين حتى دخلت تركيا الحرب العامة ثم اشتركوا في تأسيس الدولة العلمانية التركية وبرعوا في المجال الاقتصادي والثقافي والصحفي، ولا يزالون يتحكمون في صحافة تركيا حتى الآن.
وفي هذا الكتيب "يهود الدونمة" يتحدث "مصطفى طوران" عن هذه الفئة اليهودية، كاشفاً عن أصلها ومذهبها وعقائدها، وتطورها، وأوضاعها في هذا العصر، كل ذلك تمّ الحديث عنه بأسلوب سهل مبسط يمتع القارئ ويثقفه بالعديد من المعلومات الهامة والخطيرة عن هذه الحركة التي دخل أتباعها بالإسلام؛ ومع ذلك لا يتقيدون بأي فائدة من قواعده الدينية فهم لا يصلون ولا يصومون ويخالطون المسلمين والأتراك، ولا يناكحونهم وباعتقادهم أنهم إذا مارسوا هذا الانزواء المجتمعي يحافظون على كيانهم وعلى أصالتهم.
لعبت فرقة يهود الدونمة دورًا رئيسيًا في إضعاف الإمبراطورية العثمانية، حيث أظهروا الإسلام، وعاشوا في زي ذوي الهويتين اليهودية والإسلامية حتى دخلوا في عمق الخلافة واستطاعوا تأسيس جمعيات سرية للقضاء على الخلافة الإسلامية، ثم اشتركوا في تأسيس الدولة العلمانية التركية، وكان هدف إلغاء الخلافة الإسلامية جامعًا بين اليهودية والاستعمارية والصليبية لأجل أن يضربوا المسلمين ضربة قاصمة تتمزق بعدها وحدتهم، ويتهدم كيانهم، ويفقدون في العالمين عزتهم وكرامتهم، ويتقلص في الأرض ظلهم وامتدادهم.
