في اصداء "السيرة الذاتية" فقد جاء الأمر على غير ما ألفناه معه، فهو يمضى بنا إلى تكوين فنى غريب أشبه بالغبة، ثم يتركنا بعد ذلك لأنفسنا نمضى في دروبها حائرين. غابة هى حقاً، ففيها العواصف والأنسام، وفيها الصفو والمطر المنهمر، فيها النهر العذب والبحر المالح، فهيا البلابل والشجار، فهيا الظلمة وضوء القمر، فيها الأشباح وحدائق الورد، فيها الحزن والاكتئاب والسعادة والمرح، والخوف والندم، فيها القبور والمقاهى، فيها الحياة وفيها الموت، وفيها الحب بغير حدود. وعلينا بعد ذلك أن نمضى فى غابة محفوظ من طرفها إلى طرفها، نتلمس من خلال أشجارها المشتبكة مواطئ لأقدامنا، ونلتمس من بين فرجات أغصانها الكثيقة ضياء هاديا. ولا يحمينا من أن نضل طريقنا فيها إلا ذلك الحيل المتين الذى يصل بيننا وبين صاحبها.
