لا ينفصل المعتلقون في سجون الاحتلال الإسرائيلي عن المقاومة او الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية، فهم جزء عضوي حميم من المقاومة والحركة، على حد سواء لكن هل هم أسرى ام معتقلون أم سجناء؟
بداية ليسوا أسرى يتم تبادلهم مع توقف القتال. الأمر الذي لم يحدث مع المحتجزين لدى الاحتلال.
صحيح أن بعضهم في عداد المعتقل، بموجب " قوانين الطورائ" التى كان الانتداب البريطانى قد أصدرها في سنة 1945، وقامت يومها قيامة الصهاينة ولم تقعد، احتجاجاً على تعسف هذه " القوانين" والأنكى ان سلطان الاحتلال الإسرائيلى تنتهك حتى هذه " القوانين" الجائرة فقد استمرأت تلك السلطات التمديد لمعظم المحتجزين الإداريين ستة أشهر في إثر ستة أشهر، إلى ما شاء الله، بينما " القوانين" الأصلية تشدد على اعتقال " المشتبة به" في أحد سجون مدينته، لمدة ستة أشهر، غير قابلة للتهديد إلا لسنة أشهر أخر فحسب يفرج بعدها عن " المشتبة به" لذا أضاف المحتل الإسرائيلى حزمة من الأوامر العسكرية بالغة الحور على تلك " القوانين".
