"الساعة الثامنة والنصف مساءً" نصَ إبداعي استثاثيَ لكونه تناول فعلاً إستثنائياً أنجزه فرد ليس له ما يحمي ظهره غير صدره المحصَن بالمحبة. في ظل نظام حكم استثائي البطش والقسوة.. كان يمكن لهذا الفعل أن ينتهي بفاعله إلى أقرب حبل مشنقة أو ساحة إعدام ليس لاقترابه من الخطوط الحمراء فحسب. إنما ولاجتيازها عن سابق إصرار لا لشيء الإليغرس وردة فرح في حديقة قلب صديق مظلوم.
وكما أبدع الفاعل أ. د. عبد الرضا علي في تأدية فعله الإنساني، فقد أبدع الشاعر والروائي قصي الشيخ عسكر في كتابه النص ليجعل من الفعل وثيقة بيضاء عن زمن أسود.
