وحيداً عدتُ في الدرب إلى شقتي، شقتنا. خلف الباب كانت رسالة تنتظر. بلهفة لمستها يدي فإذا برائحة بسمان تعطّر أجوائي، عليّ أن أستعد قبل أن أقرأها، ارتخيتُ على الأريكة وأسندتُ ساقيّ على الكرسي القريب، وفتحتها، عشتُ مع بسمان في كل كلمة، مرتين قرأتها ولم أشعرْ بالشبع، أنت محقٌّ يا بسمان سيملّ أهلُ هذه الأرض دنياهم لأنهم فقدوا مبررَ العدو وراء اللصّ، لأنّ اللصّ قد مات ودفنه الشعراء، لن يلهثَ المتنبي حتى يصل إلى مطمحه، فله كلّ ما يطلب، لم يعدِ الموت غريباً على البشر، فهو السكون الذي يغشى الناس.
كيف أغفلتُ هذا؟ فالجنينة التي لا يتفتح فيهاه غيرُ لون واحد من الزهور هي لن تستوقف الناظر إليها طويلاً، يراها من بُعدٍ ثم يغادر.
