شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.
وظائفه: أستاذ ومدير في الثانويات، موجه اختصاصي في وزارة التربية، عضو في قسم المناهج والكتب، مسؤول في دائرة الامتحانات بها، أستاذ الحضارة الإسلامية والاستشراق في كلية الدعوة شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.

حين هبّ المسلمون في القرن الهجري الأول لنشر الدعوة الإسلامية سرعان ما تهاوت الحصون أمامهم.. قوة صغيرة خرجت من الجزيرة بأسلحة لا تقاس بعتاد الجيوش الجرارة في البلاد التي خلعت عن رقبتها نير الشرك وانضوت تحت راية الإسلام. نور هداية انتشر بأقل جهد، وبلاد آمنت على يد التجار وأخرى على يد العلماء.. ولم يسـقط من القتلى سـوى أعدد لا تذكر بالقياس إلى مدّ الإسلام.. لأن المسلمين الفاتحين حملوا مع الإيمان رحمة مطلقة.. ولم يتعرضوا لأديان أحد، ولم يجبروا أحداً على الإسلام.
ولكن المستشرقين ومعهم الإعلام الغربي والحكومات التي تخاف النور ما تزال تعزف على وتر قديم، هو أن الإسلام دين السيف والإرهاب والدماء والوحشية.
ولم يميز أعداء الإسلام بين الفتوح وبين انتشار الإسلام، وجهلوا أن المبادئ تعرض ولا تفرض. وسـلطة المسلمين السياسـية اليوم انحسرت عن مواقع القيادة ومع ذلك بقي الدين وما زال يتسع في الشرق والغرب.. فأي سيف هو؟
هذا الكتاب يرسم مصورات انتشار الإسلام في بقاع الأرض، ليبين الحقيقة التي قام عليها في الشرق والغرب.
