(صفحات وطن شاردة) رواية تحكي قصة لبنان بأمسه وحاضره وما عاناه أبناءه من حروب نجم عنها الكثير من القتل والتهجير والنفي والغربة. فالرواية بكاملها نسجها محمد أخمد حمَود بنفس طويل وبخطاب روائي هادف لو مواصفاته على مستوى الأحداث والتقنيات واللغة ما حدث من حكايات شاردة أخفتها الأيام وبعد التئام الجروح جاء ليفتحها لتكون درساً يتعلم منه أبناء الجيل الجديد أن لا مكان للبناني إلا لبنان ولا وطن بديل إلا أرضه.
يقول المؤلف في مقدمة عمله "... يحكيك القلم عن فتيات من محابر صفحات الوطن قصص الشرود، والريشة رنمت كلماتها ساعة عاش العمر بيروت و"حوش اوبريا" وكمب رحَال.. والأحياء المتوارثة..
من تلك الضواحي الخافتة... بناسها، وعمرها المختزل وطناً مرَاً، سار القلم فوق الصفحات الرمادية ليسلب من قلب الحوش حدثاً، عن امرأة.. ورجلين.. واكثر(...) ثم عاود القلم قراءة الوجوه، وتصفح مكنونات القلوب.. فوجد أن في الوطن حكايات شاردة أخفتها الأيام، وعفَة مشوهة تحت طيات النسيان(...) صفحات طوتها الأيام... عاد الزمن ليحكي.. يحكي سراً.. حدثاً.. حوشاً.. جبلاً.. يحكي بيروت القديمة(...) وأناساً نسجوا لي حكاية أو رواية من زمن غريب قريب بعيد، حلو مرَ، صفحات من ماء ونار، من ورد وشوك، صفحات وطن شاردة".
قد تشرد بك الصفحات وأنت تقرأ ما فيها وما في القلب والروح والوطن والحياة والحقد ورماديات السنين.وقد تنسيك الأحداث لبرهة ما أنت فيه ثم تعود وقد تسيرك السنوات والصفحات عمداً الى احداث وأحداث فلربما تقصًدت ذلك ... ففي وطننا سنوات حلوة مرة ,وصفحات حائرة ، قاتلة شردت ناحية الجمال حيناً وناحية الخيال حيناً، ,احياناً كثيرة ناحية الحقيقة.
