تتمظهر حداثية الخطاب الروائي في "إعترافات خريجة السوربون" في أن الكاتب ينسف مفهوم "الحكاية" بالمعنى المتداول في الرواية العربية، فروحي طعمة لا يقدم للقارىء نصاً يتضمن حكاية تنمو أحداثها وتتعقد حبكها ويأتي حلها، بل يقدم إعترافات هي أقرب إلى العبث السردي الذي يمارسه الكاتب في إطار التجريب، لكنه عبث مدروس يعتمد خلطة سحرية فيها الكثير من الفن الروائي، والتنوع في الأقوال والأفعال لامرأة تكسر الطوق وتأخذ بيد حبيبها إلى حدائقها الغناء، حتى وهي بعيدة عنه لها حضور يزيح عن قلبه ستائر الكآبة كلما اهتم واغتم ووقع خارج دائرة الحياة.
تلك هي حكاية (نايا) خريجة السوربون مع (راسل) الكاتب والصحافي وقد تعارفا في أول يوم تعمل فيه بشركة الإعلانات التي يدير أحد أقسامها فتبلورت علاقة غريبة لم يألفها طقس من طقوس الحب وأشباهه، ولتبدأ قصة حب رائعة ومدمّرة في آن !! ...
