نشرت مجلة "الدعوة" بالرياض بتاريخ 28 جمادى الأولى عام 1397هـ، مقالاً صادراً من الشيخ عبد العزيز بن رشيد رئيس هيئة التمييز بالمملكة العربية السعودية، إنكاراً منه على "رسالة إتحاف الأحفياء"، التي دوّنها الشيخ "عبد الله بن زيد آل محمود"، وتحديداً على ما قاله بعدم التفريق بين الأنبياء والرسل... وأن الأنبياء هم الرسل والرسل هم الأنبياء، إذ أن مخرجهما في كتاب واحد.
وفي هذه الرسالة المعنونة بـ"القول السديد في تحقيق الأمر المفيد" يرد الشيخ عبد الله بن زيد آل محمود على مقالة "عبد العزيز بن رشيد" مبيناً أن الاعتراضات التي دوّنها في المقالة كلها باطلة ولا تعتمد على أساس من العلم والمعرفة.
