وتناول فيه الحديث عن أولاد النبي، وأعمامه وعماته، وأزواجه، وخدمه ومواليه، وتحدث عن حجّه وعمره، وغزواته، وعن أفراسه وسلاحه، ثم تحدث عن صفاته صلى الله عليه وسلم، ومعجزاته، وكل ذلك باختصار ودون توسع، وأما القسم الثاني فأفرده لسيرة الصحابة العشرة المبشرين بالجنة: أبي بكر، وعمر، وعثمان، وعلي، وطلحة، والزبير، وسعد بن أبي وقاص، وسعيد بن زيد، وعبد الرحمن بن عوف، وأبي عبيدة بن الجراح، فتحدث بإيجاز عن نسب كل واحد منهم، وإسلامه، وأعماله وفضائله، وذريته، ووفاته، ولأهمية هذا الكتاب اعتنى الدكتور علي حسين البواب بتحقيقه وبإخراجه في هذه الطبعة مجلة جدية متكاملة.
