وبما أن كتاب الله تعالى عزّ اسمه لم يترك قصة مفيدة لنا منهم دون أن يمر عليها ويوضحها فهو خير مرجع لنا جميعاً، ولذلك اختار المؤلف القرآن الكريم مرجعاً وحيداً للتعرف على ذلك التراث الإنساني البديع، ويوسف أجمل قصة سردها الله تعالى لتأخذ شكلاً روائياً في غاية الإتقان والجمال.
إنها قصة حقيقية بعيدة عن الخيال ولكنها منسوجة بشكل روائي، والرواية في الكتاب السماوي تعني الحقيقة التي نحتاج لفهمها إلى الخيال الواسع لتصور الموقف في زمانه ومكانه.
ولذلك سعى الكاتب متمنياً أن يكون موفقاً لتصور كل مراحل القصة القرآنية كمحاولة لفهم دقيق لرسالة السورة الكريمة التي تشرح بكل وضوح هجرة بني إسرائيل إلى الديار المصرية قبل حوالي أربعة آلاف سنة.
يهدف الكاتب تقديم هذا الكتاب للأمة الإسلامية لعلهم يغيروا منهجهم التقليدي إلى منهج فكري يساعدهم على تدبر آيات الله تعالى ولعلهم يتعرفوا على أسرار أمة بني إسرائيل وهي أقدم أمة بشرية بقيت إلى اليوم وقد بعث الله تعالى من بينهم عدداً كبيراً من الأنبياء.
والسورة تميز بين الخُلُق النبوي المطلوب عند الله تعالى وبين الخُلُق المصلحي المبني على أساس الفوائد الدنيوية المحضة، ويهدف الكاتب إلى بيان أن الله تعالى يهتم بالتقوى الفردي أكثر من الميرات الأسري في الدينا وأن الفوز بالآخرة مخصص للمتقين فلا عبرة بأهالي البيوت الأسرية حتى بيوت الأنبياء.
