يأتي هذا الكتاب من ضمن سلسلة كتب أعدها الكاتب الصحافي محمد الخضري تُعنى بالعمل الصحافي، فهذا الكتاب (خطابات مؤثرة في الصحافة السعودية "نماذج وتطبيقات" يضم بين صفحاته خمسة مواضيع، وقد اختار المؤلف موضوعه الأول عن الأدب والصحافة تجاذب أم تكامل – متحدثاً عن الموقف من الحداثة في صحافة الثمانينات الميلادية وحتى الآن، فيما جاء الموضوع الثاني عن واقع الصحافة المحلية/السعودية وسمات الخطابات المؤثرة فيه، وجاء الموضوع الثالث عن سمات الصحفي الناجح، وهو عبارة عن محاضرة أعدها المؤلف لطلاب السنة التحضيرية بجامعة الملك سعود عام 2008م، أم الموضوع الرابع فهو عن الصحفية وأساليبها وكان الموضوع الأخير عبارة عن بحث عن الحديث الصحفي وطريقة الوصول إلى المعلومة.
