في عملها هذا تتلمس الشاعرة "ريم غنايم" علاقة الشعر بالوجود والأشياء؛ بالإرتكاز على مقارنة فلسفية- تفكيكية تعبر من خلالها عن تلك العوالم المرتبكة في معركةٍ "بين الذات والذات" وهي تحاول زحزحة الثوابت من مكانها، إيماناً فيها بأن ليس هنالك من مطلق والأشياء تأتي دائماً نسبية ومتغيرة من حال إلى حال. في قصيدة بعنوان [واحد اثنان صفر] تقول: "معركة/ بين الذات والذات/ مبشورة من قاعها/ يرتو الصفر/ الصفر في عنقها/ يتدلى النوم عارياً/ يراقب أسيرات فجوره/ كم أخشى/ عليهن/ من مفارقاته... وأنا/ حبة رملٍ/ على ظهر أتان". تقول الشاعرة عن عملها هذا "هذه القصائد تنفلق شخطاً بألم خاشع لفراغ الأشياء. وفزع سيء السمعة بأرض مجهولة لها مفارقات التحريم. يبوسة محيرة ومتقدة لسيرة أسطورية. السقوط أحياناً يأتي من الخلق".
يقسم الديوان إلى ثلاثة أجزاء: جاء الجزء الأول بعنوان "أول النشئ تجولات وذبذبات وخسارات"، أما الجزء الثاني فجاء بعنوان "ظباء مدربة على النزف"، أما الجزء الثالث والأخير فيأتي بعنوان "يا حنونك المذموم أيها المارق على لؤمهن".
