▪ آمال نوّار، شاعرة لبنانية، ومترجمة.
ولدت في الكويت في 12 أكتوبر 1963.
ترعرت في مدينة صيدا في الجنوب اللبناني، حيث تلقت فيها علومها الأولى.
تابعت دراستها الجامعية في العاصمة اللبنانية، وتخرّجت من جامعة بيروت العربية في العام 1986 ببكالوريوس تجارة ومحاسبة.
هاجرت إلى كندا عام 1992، حيث عملت في المجال المصرفي، ثم لاحقًا انتقلت للعيش في أمريكا، وهي تقيم حاليًا في مدينة كليفلاند من ولاية أُوهايو منذ عام 1995.
▪ نشرت قصائدها ومراجعاتها النقدية في الشعر والرواية، منذ منتصف الثمانينيات من القرن الفائت، في صحفٍ لبنانية وعربية عدة، لا سيما "النهار" اللبنانية، و"الحياة" اللندنية، وفي مواقع أدبية وثقافية متفرقة.
▪ بدأت منذ عام 2005 بنشر دراساتها عن بعض شعراء الحداثة الأمريكيين، وذلك في صحف ومواقع عدة، لا سيما صحيفة "النهار" اللبنانية وموقع "جهة الشعر".
كذلك قامت بترجمة العديد من قصائد الشعر الأمريكي، منها ما نشر في فيديوهات على موقعي اليوتيوب وفيمو.
▪ تُرجمت بعض قصائدها إلى اللغتين الإنكليزية والإسبانية.
▪ صدر لها: في الشعر: - "تاج على الحافّة" 2004، دار الفارابي، بيروت.
- "نبيذها أزرق ويُؤنس الزجاج" 2007، دار النهضة العربية، بيروت.
- "امرأة الأدغال" 2018، دار الفارابي، بيروت.
في النقد والترجمة: - "حفلة قديمة على القمر"، كتاب يصدر قريبًا.
يضمّ دراسة لنخبة من كبار شعراء الحداثة الأمريكيين، إضافة إلى ترجمة لنماذج شعرية من أهم أعمالهم.
