يقدم الدكتور "ثناء الحافظ" هذا الكتاب في فقه المحبة والمعاملات المالية، حيث تحدث فيه عن موقع المحبة من الفقه وأحكامها وعلاقة تطبيق فقه المعاملات المالية بزرع المحبة في القلوب ودوره في إزالة البغضاء والعداوة بين أفراد المجتمع.
ويهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان الأمور التالية: 1-بيان مفهوم المحبة والبغضاء ولوازمهما وأسبابهما، 2-بيان مفهوم المعاملات المالية وأقسامها، 3-تأصيل المحبة والبغضاء في الكتاب والسنّة والسيرة النبوية، 4-بيان أحكام المحبة والبغضاء وموقعها من الفقه، 5-بيان أثر تطبيق فقه المعاملات المالية في المحبة والبغضاء من خلال القيود المفروضة عليه سواءً أكانت القيود أخلاقية أم شرعية وذلك في سائر أقسام فقه المعاملات المالية.
ويقتصر بعد بيان المفاهيم والأحكام المتعلقة على بيان أثر تطبيق فقه المعاملات على جلب المحبة إلى قلوب أفراد المجتمع من خلال إلقاء الضوء على أمثلة واضحة الدلالة على ذلك، دون الإحاطة بجميع مسائل الفقه، أي من خلال إستقراء فقه المعاملات نستخلص أحد أهم مقاصد الشريعة من التكليف المالي، وهو زرع المحبة في القلوب تحقيقاً لسعادة البشرية التي يستحيل أن تتحقق دون المحبة.
يعد البحث ذا أهمية بالغة للمجتمع الإسلامي لإعتبارات كثيرة منها أنه يلفت نظر الغافلين إلى شمول الشريعة الإسلامية جميع جوانب الحياة، وإلى مقصد من مقاصدها وهو نشر المحبة التي هي عبق السعادة الحقيقية عندما تستقر في القلوب.
ضمن هذه المنهجية أتى البحث في إطارين رئيسيين: الإطار الأول: إطار الفقه الإسلامي: حيث تتم الإشارة إلى آراء الفقهاء في المسائل المندرجة في الموضوع مع تأصيلها من الأدلة الشرعية، والإطار الثاني: الإطار الفكري الإجتماعي: حيث تتم مقارنة الآراء والأحكام الإسلامية بوجهات النظر في الحضارة الغربية المعاصرة والواقع الحالي للمجتمعات الإسلامية المعاصرة.
