تزخر كُتُب التُّراث الشَّرعيِّ بأحاديث كثيرة، مُتَداوَلة بين الفُقَهَاء والعُلَمَاء في مختلف المجالات، ولكثرة دوَرانها وشُيُوعها بينهم، فإنَّ العلماء - عادةً - يُشيرُون إليها بأسماء اصطلحوا عليها فيما بينهم، وهي بمثابة الإختصارات العلميَّة التي يَتَدَاوَلُها أصحابُ الإختصاص في كلِّ علمِ وفنٍّ، وتكون مَألُوفةً مُقْبُولةً بينهم.
لكنّ، قد تمثُلُ تلك الإصطلاحات عقبةً في الفهم لدى غيرهم، أو لدى مَن ليس له إلمامٌ وتمرُّسٌ بالمجال العلميِّ الذي يتمُّ فيه تداوُل تلك الإختصارات.
والإشارةُ إلى الأحاديث النَّبويَّة بأسماء تحيلُ على موضوعاتها، واردةٌ في أمَّهات كتب الحديث الصِّحاح، كالبخاريِّ ومسلم، ففيهما إحالاتٌ على جُملةٍ من الأحاديث بأسمائها، مثل: حديث أبْرَصَ وأقْرَعَ وأعمى، وحديث الإفك، وحديث الشِّفاعة، وحديث الغار، وحديث المتلاعنَيْن، وحديث المرأة المخزوميَّة... إلخ.
عليه، كان العزمُ على القيام بهذه الدِّراسة حول أسامي الأحاديث النَّبويَّة في كتب التُّراث الشَّرعيِّ، رغبةً في جمع ما يسَّر الله تعالى جَمْعَهُ من تلك الأسماء في حيزٍ واحد، وتسهيلّ الوصول إليها، ومعرفتها لدى الباحثين وطلبة العلم.
