تدور الدراسة في هذا الكتاب حول الإنسان والنفس في ضوء الكتاب والسنة حيث حاول الباحث في القسم الأول من دراسته إيراد الآيات والأحاديث المؤكدة على طبيعة جسم الإنسان وماهيته التي استطاع العلم اكتشافها في عهود قريبة وهي أن الجسم يتكون من مداد تماثل مداد التراب الذي كان منه أول خلقه، ثم تدرجه من النطفة إلى المهد ومنه إلى اللحد. وهذه الحقيقة العلمية كان القرآن الكريم والأحاديث النبوية قد تحدثا عنها مليا إلاّ أن الإنسان لم يستطع التحقق منها إلاّ لاحقا وهذا ما أراد الباحث الإشارة اله في القسم الأول من الدراسة. أما القسم الثاني فقد تمّ تخصيصه للنفس البشرية كما ذكرها القرآن الكريم، ولرأي أهل العلم والفلسفة في ذلك.
كتاب جامع لما ورد في الكتاب والسنة فيما يتعلق بموضوع النفس الانسانية والانسان وهو مهم لكل قارىء. يعالج هذا الكتاب الحياة الإنسانية بأطوارها المختلفة، وكذلك موضوع النفس الانسانية التي بحث العلماء في حقيقتها كثيراً في القديم والحديث. فالكتاب يتحدث عن الانسان والنفس الانسانية وآراء العلماء بذلك معتمداً على كتاب الله وسنة بنيه صلى الله عليه وسلم
