وُلدت يوم 8 ديسمبر 1967 في محافظة المنيا بصعيد مصر. حصلت على درجة الماجستير في النقد الأدبي بأطروحة عنوانها "صورة المثقف في الرواية المصرية الجديدة في الفترة من 1990 إلى 2000، دراسة تحليلية في نماذج مختارة"، وحصلت على درجة الدكتوراه في النقد الأدبي بأطروحة عنوانها "الهامش الاجتماعي في الرواية من منظور منهج سيسيو ثقافي".عملت مديراً لتحرير مجلة المال والعقار المصرية وتكتب عموداً أسبوعياً بها، تكتب عمودا أسبوعيا في جريدة المشهد وجريدة البوابة ، تكتب مقالا أسبوعيا في جريدة المقال ، تكتب في الصحف والمجلات المصرية والعربية ،إضافة إلى عملها مدرسا لمادة علم الجمال و فلسفة الفن بجامعة 6 أكتوبر.

من المهم للنقد أن يسعي إلي تحرير وعي النساء من خلال إعادة الأعتبار لإبداعاتهن, ورفع الغبن اللاحق بهن, وذلك عن طريق أستكناه ما تكتبه النساء وأستكشاف الكيفيات التي يقاربن من خلالها عوالمهن النفسية والوجدانية والجسدية, في محاولة للإمساك بالأختلاف القائم ما بين إبداع المرأة / الكاتبة وإبداع الرجل / الكاتب, وتقصي الخصوصيات الكتابية التي قد تنقص الصورة النمطية الشائعة عن المرأة في ما يكتبه الرجال والنساء, ما يسهم في التأسيس لقيام توازن مفقود بين الرجل والمرأة, وإنشاء قيم المواطنة التي تتعامل مع المرأة بأعتبارها مكوناً ثقافياً مشاركاً للرجل في صناعة المجتمع.
لقد علا الصوت الذكوري, وأنفرد بالتعبير عن حال المرأة العربية, سواء بلسانه أو منتحلاً لسانها, ليكشف ويعري من خارج ما يتراءي له أو يدعي رؤيته من دواخل الأنثي, تلك الدواخل الموصدة التي دامت موصدة وعصية وملتبسة حتي علي المرأة الكاتبة نفسها.
