فإن الله قد أتم الدين، وأقان عليه الأدلة والبراهين؛ فمن تمسك به فهو من المفلحين، ومن نكص عنه فهو من الخاسرين، ولم يجعل بيانه لأحد من العالمين إلا لرسوله الأمين "صلى الله عليه وسلم" فلا حلال إلا ما أحله، ولا حرام إلا ما حرمه، ولا دين إلا ما شرعه، (فإن تولوا فإنما عليه ما حمل وعليكم ما حملتهم وإن تطيعوه تهتدوا وما على الرسول إلا البلاغ المبين).
فمن هذا المنطلق العظيم أحببت ان اسهم بجهد المقل في بيان بعض المعالم السلفية على ضوء كلام رب العالمين، ورسوله الأمين "صلى الله عليه وسلم" وفق فهم سلف الأمة الهداة المهتدين، مع بيان أثر مخالفة هذا المنهج العظيم في عقائد المخالفين؛ ليكون ذلك إظهارًا للحق، وتجلية لما التبس على الناس في كثير من تصوراتهم وأفكارهم.
ويركز البحث علي بيان منهج السلف، وأسسه في الدعوة إلى الله؛ وذلك من خلال عرض الضوابط اللازمة لذلك المنهج، مما يتعلق بالداعية والمدعوين والمدعو إليه، إلى جانب ما يقتضيه المقام من بيان وسائل وأهداف منهج السلفية، مع الحرص في أثناء ذلك على بيان الخلل الحاصل في كثير من الأفكار الدعوية المخالفة لمنهج السلف "رضي الله عنهم".
هذا ويتكون البحث من تمهيد وثلاثة أبواب وهي: الباب الأول في ضوابط منهج السلف في الدعوة وشروطها، الباب الثاني في وسائل منهج السلف في الدعوة إلى الله، الباب الثالث في مميزات منهج السلف في الدعوة إلى الله وأهدافه.
