حاصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة - القسم المدني - جامعة القاهرة.
يعمل مديراً لإدارة التفتيش الفني بهيئة تعاونيات البناء والإسكان بمدينة نصر.
عضو اتحاد الكتاب بمصر, ومجلس إدارة ندوة شعراء العروبة, وسكرتير جمعية العقاد الأدبية.
نشر أعماله في العديد من الصحف والمجلات المصرية والعربية.
دواوينه الشعرية: نقوش على شفتين 1985 - قدمت للحب استقالة 1991 - لولاي ماكنت أنثى 1993 - صائدة القلوب 1995.

أفندينا الذي أعنيه هو الخديو إسماعيل، بدأت معرفتي به سنة 1976 عندما ذهبت إلى مسابقة عقدت في مدرسة الخديو إسماعيل بالسيدة ثم كانت رحلتي في جمع ما كتب عنه في مؤلفات عبد الرحمن بك الرافعي وجورجي زيدان، وأمدتني مكتبة مدرسة الأقباط الكبرى الثانوية (بجوار الكنيسة المرقسية) أيام كنت طالبًا فيها بمادة غزيرة عن الخديو إسماعيل وصوره، فتمثلته أمامي بجسمه البدين وقامته القصيرة ووجهه المشرب بالحمرة وطربوشه المكبوس في رأسه وشواربه وذقنه وبذلته المرصعة بالنياشين، وقد وقف أمامي يقول باللغة الفرنسية تارة وباللغة العربية التي تشوبها لكنة تركية تارة أخرى: "لقد ظلمني التاريخ أفندم، ولم آخذ حقي رغم أن الفترة التي حكمت فيها مصر (1863- 1879) كانت مملوءة بالإنجازات والتنويرات والمسرات، فليتك تنصف والدكم الخديوي المظلوم ولكم تشكراتي واحتراماتي".
