بين صفحات هذا الكتاب سيجد القارئ الكريم تاريخاً قديماً لشعب عريق في بلد مضياف تربطهما علاقة الدم والتاريخ والنسب فاليمنيون في الأردن لهم تاريخ عريق وحافل منذ ما قبل الميلاد وعبر العصور اللاحقة وفي العصر الإسلامي وحتى التاريخ الحديث والمعاصر. فقد حاول الكاتب في كتابه الخوض في هذا المجال، لإظهار الدور التاريخي لليمنيين مستعرضاً هجراتهم المتعددة، في أزمنة متفاوتة ولأغراض مختلفة، ما أورد نماذج لبعض الأسر اليمنية في الأردن والتي استقرت في هذا البلد المضياف منذ عشرينات القرن الماضي. كما استفاد الكاتب من خلال خبرته في العمل الدبلوماسي لعشرين عاماً في عدة عواصم أوروبية (باريس-فيينا-براغ)، وعمله الحالي قنصلاً لبلاده لدى المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية للوقوف عن كثب على التاريخ والعلاقات التي تربط اليمن بالأردن من خلال مواطنيها الذين يعدون بمثابة سفراء حقيقيين لليمن بالخارج.
