شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.
وظائفه: أستاذ ومدير في الثانويات، موجه اختصاصي في وزارة التربية، عضو في قسم المناهج والكتب، مسؤول في دائرة الامتحانات بها، أستاذ الحضارة الإسلامية والاستشراق في كلية الدعوة شوقي محمد أبو خليل، كاتب وباحث فلسطيني، له العديد من المؤلفات من أشهرها كتابه (الإسلام في قفص الاتهام)، ولد في بيسان بفلسطين، ورحل مع أسرته إلى دمشق فتعلم بها، إجازة في التاريخ من جامعتها. دكتوراه من أكاديمية العلوم في أذربيجان.

Book Description
يتناول هذا الكتاب معاهدة فتح بيت المقدس (إيلياء) المعروفة باسم العهدة العمرية، والتي تعبر عن البعد الإنساني في الفتوحات العربية الإسلامية. ولقد بقيت تلك العهدة العمرية لوحة غراء في تاريخ العرب والمسلمين وآية في التسامح الذي أمر به الإسلام، وعنواناً كبيراً على حضارة باذخة ضربت جذورها في الزمان والمكان، لتكون منهاجاً إنسانياً في طريقة التعامل الإنساني الراقي، القائم على قيود ضابطة واضحة.
ويتحدث عن الميثاق الذي كتبه عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه للنصارى في القدس حينما زارها بناً على طلبهم، ثم يتحدث عن آداب الحروب في دولة الإسلام وحقوق غير المسلم فيها ..
وختم الكتاب بتوصيات اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر التي لم تخرج مواثيقها وقراراتها عن معطيات الحضارة الإسلامية في فتوحاتها وانطلاقها عبر الآفاق.
