هذا الكتاب: يبحث في البيتون المسلح كمادة بناء أساسية في مختلف الأعمال المدتية ,حيث يقوم بدراسة المواد الداخلة في تركيبه ونسب كل مادة من هذه المواد وذلك وفق الطرق المختلفة ويبحث في الاختبارات المختلفة التي تجري على الخلطات البيتونية إضافة إلى التشوهات التي تطرأعلى البيتون بعد تصلبه كما بحث في عملية التصميم والاختيار الجيد للمقطع البيتوني المعرض لمختلف الإجهادات وذلك وفق الطريقتين الكلاسيكية والحدية والمقارنة بينهما باستخدام أمثلة عديدة تم التقديم لها بشرح نظري عن العلاقات المستخدمة في التصميم .وقد راعى أن تأتي محتوياته منسجمة مع متطلبات الكود العربي السوري لتصميم المنشآت البيتونية الذي صدر عام 1992 ,مما يحقق الفائدة المرجوة للزملاء الدارسينفي فهم مادة البيتون المسلح .
