فقد تناول في هذا الكتاب موضوعات عديدة كان أهمها مشكلات الأمومة والطفولة (الحمل والولادة والرضاعة والفطام النفسي)، والمشكلات النفسية للأم كالاكتئاب. وأيضاً مراحل النمو عند الطفل كالنمو الحسي واللغوي والجسمي والحركي والعقلي والانفعالي والاجتماعي. كما يتضمن مشكلات الأطفال ( كعصبية الطفل، واكتئاب الطفل، والبكاء والكذب، والسرقة...) وأيضاً المشكلات النمائية (فرط الحركة– التوحد– صعوبات التعلم– التأخر الدراسي). وأيضاً مشكلات الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة (العقلية والسمعية والبصرية). كما يتضمن الرعاية النفسية والضغوط النفسية التي تواجه الأسرة وأيضاً دور الأم في تعليم الطفل قواعد السلوك السليم، وكيفية عقاب الأطفال، والأخطاء التربوية للأسرة، والإرشاد الأسري للأسرة والطفل.
