لما كان من أجلَ المناقب والحكايات الدينية والدنيوية، وأكمل الكرامات الجامعة لكل حالة مرضية، مناقب مولانا وسيدنا وقدوتنا غوث الثقلين، قطب الخافقين، قرة عين جدة الإمام الحسن- رضي الله عنه- سلطان صدور الأولياء، صاحب المآثر الشهيرة، والمناقب العظيمة الخطيرة، القطب الرباني والغوث الصمداني بأول الهيكل النوراني والمحبوب السبحاني والعاشق الرباني مولانا السيد عبد القادر الجيلاني الحسني والحسيني الشافعي الحنبلي- رضي الله عنه-.
فكان هذا الكتاب الذي بين يديك أيها القارئ الكريم الذي يعد واحدًا من أهم المصنفات الخاصة بسيدنا عبد القادر- رضي الله عنه- ومن التقى به من الشيوخ الأكابر.
فاشتمل هذا الكتاب النافع على مناقب وحكايات جليلة ما ظفرت يد الدهر بمثالها، ولا نسجت أنامل الزمان على منوالها، أبانت لكل إنسان طرق النجاح، وأوضحت له كيفية الوقوف على معرفة الكرامة بأجمل إيضاح، وأن بالأولياء يقتفى طريق الخير والصلاح، حيث إنها جمعت من جوامع الكلم ما يدق دركه، ومن عجائب الآثار ما يعجز المعترضين جهله، ويعز على غير الراسخين فهمه وسبكه.
فأحب أن يجمعها، ويرتبها مشيد آثار الشيخ عبد القادر- رضي الله عنه- وناشر كماله: الإمام الشيخ عبد الله بن أسعد اليافعي- رضي الله عنه- ليتضح لكل قارئ ما أودعه فيها من الخيرات العميمة، والمعانى الرقيقة العظيمة، والمسالك الدالة على الله، والأخلاق المطلوبة للتعامل مع خلق الله، فكساها- رضي الله عنه وأرضاه- خلعة ذكر كبردة الصبح المنير، أوضح ما تضمنته الحكايات من الرقائق فانجلت مقاصدها لكل بصير. وقد سماه: "خلاصة المفاخر فى مناقب الشيخ عبد القادر وجماعة من الشيوخ الأكابر".
