حيث يناقش الكتاب فى فصوله الخمس العديد من الموضوعات والتى تضم تتبع مفهوم الثقافة، بما فى ذلك تحديد الاسس الفكرية للثقافة العربية بالإضافة إلى تحديد مكونات الثقافة العربية وتحديد الاقاليم الثقافية العربية، فضلاً عن رصد لطبيعة ثورة المعلومات فى محاولة لتحديد الأصول وتمييزها عن الفروع فيتعرض الكتاب لرصد الظواهر التىى نتجت عنها مثل العولمة والكونية والنظام العالمى الجديد وما بعد الحداثة وايدولوجيا الاتصال، فى حين يعرض الكتاب لظاهرة الاتصالات الفضائية حيث تم عرض تلك الظاهرة من خلال خلفية تاريخية حول الاتصالات الفضائية وظاهرة البث المباشر والقنوات الفضائية العالمية وصولاً لتحديد موقع القنوات الفضائية العربية فى الظاهرة العالمية.
هذا ويناقش الكتاب فى فصله الأخير التحديات التى يفرضها هذا العصر فى محاولة لتحديد علاقتنا بانفسنا وبالاخرين فى عالمنا وبالعصر الذى نعيشه بعيداً عن أسلوب جلد الذات وتبرئة الأخرين.
