وقد أثارت أفكار القذافي - التي طرحها في الكتاب الأخضر وغيره - الكثير من الجدل داخل وخارج ليبيا.. وخلال 42 عامًا تغلغلت عائلة القذافي في المراكز الهامة في جميع مناصب الدولة، حتى إن الناظر إلى ليبيا يشعر – بل يتأكد لديه - أنه في مملكة القذافي.. وصار لدى الليبيين والمراقبين في الداخل والخارج قناعة بأن القذافي يهيئ ابنه وولي عهده سيف الإسلام لخلافته، وفي هذا الكتاب، يعرض المؤلف حياة القذافي من بدايتها إلى نهايتها.. وتصديه للثورة الليبية الشعبية التي هبت يوم 17 فبراير 2011م، والحرب التي شنها القذافي على الثوار من أجل قمع تلك الثورة والقضاء عليها.. كما يقدم الكتاب نبذة عن جغرافية ليبيا وتاريخها القديم والحديث.
