يعد الشيخ الأكبر أبو بكر محمد بن علي محيي الدين ابن عربي (560هـ- 638) الترجمان الأعظم... لحقائق التصوف الإسلامي، ومن أشهر كتبه الموسوعة الكبرى "الفتوحات المكية" وكتاب "فصوص الحكم" الذي لخص فيه أبرز محاور الحقائق الصوفية. يقول الشيخ ابن عربي "... فجميع ما نتكلم فيه من مجالسي وتصانيفي إنما هو من حضرة القرآن وخزائنه، أعطيت مفتاح الفهم فيه والإمداد منه، وهذا كله حتى لا نخرج منه، فإنه أرفع ما يمنح، ولا يعرف قدره إلا من ذاقه وشهد منزلته حالا من نفسه وكلمه به الحق في سره. فإن الحق إذا كان هو المكلم عبده في سره بارتفاع الوسائط فإن الفهم يستصحب كلامه منك، فيكون عين الكلام، ومن لم يجد هذا فليس عنده علم بكلام الله عباده". فكل تآليف الشيخ تستمد حقائقها من آيات القرآن وأسماء الله الحسنى وتجلياتها في الافاق والأنفس. وعلى هذا يعد كتاب الفصوص أعظم مؤلفات ابن عربي كلها قدراً وأعمقها غوراً وأبعدها أثراً في تشكيل العقيدة الصوفية في عصره وفي الأجيال اللاحقة... وهذا الكتاب يبين مفتاحين هامين ضروريان لفهم كتاب فصوص الحكم وهما: أولاً سر ترتيب أبواب الفصوص وعلاقته بتسلسل مراتب الوجود في النفس الرحماني، جاء هذا الكتاب ليبحث في أربعة مواضيع قسمها الكاتب على الشكل التالي: -القسم الأول: يحتوي على مقدمة ومفاتيح ترتيب أبواب الفصوص وبيان المفاتيح القرآنية لأشهر كتب الشيخ الأكبر وتفصيل للسور المناسبة لأبواب الفصوص. –القسم الثاني: يتألف من 28 فصلاً، لبيان الاسم الإلهي الذي يستمد فيه كل فص ومرتبته الوجودية وحرفه اللفظي ومنزلته الفلكية، والإشارات الخفية المبثوثة في كل فص الدالة على ذلك. –القسم الثالث: يتألف من 27 فصلاً، لبيان السورة المناسبة لكل فص، وتلويحات الشيخ لأياتها، وكيفية ارتباط الأبواب وتسلسلها البديع.- القسم الرابع: فيه بيان لعلاقات عددية لطيفة عجيبة تتعلق بمفاتيح الفصوص أي أسماء الأنبياء والسور والأسماء الحسنى وأوصاف الحكم والبسملة والفاتحة وأهم هذه الأعداد هي: 28/36/360/365/406/1572.
هذا الكتاب هو عبارة عن ابحاث في بيان السورة التي يشتمل منها كل فص من كتاب. فصوص الحكم لابن عربي مدموجا في كتاب مفاتيح فصوص الحكم للمؤلف نفسه.
