من القضايا المثارة كل حين إتهام اللغة العربية بالعجز عن مستلزمات الحضارة، فهي لغة متجمّدة في نظر بعض المثقفين، وهم يدعون إلى تطويرها، ومنهم من يطالب باللجوء إلى اللغات الأجنبية ولا سيما الإنكليزية والفرنسية، لأنهما على حد قولهم يصلحان بالتعبير عن المستجدات في كل مجال من مجالات المعرفة.
ولكنَّ اللغة، أيَّ لغةِ، تتطوّر من تلقاء نفسها نبعاً للتطور الحضاري والثقافي، والدليل على ذلك، هذه اللغة التي تكتب بها في حياتنا المعاصرة، والتي تختلف عن لغة أسلافنا القدماء، بحيث أنها تتناول موضوعات شتىً، وما يدخل فيها من مصطلحات ومفاهيم جيدة، وإن مهمة رصد هذا التطور الحاصل تُلقى على عاتق المهتمين بالشأن اللغوي.
واللغة ليست ذا كيان مستقل، ولا تنفصل عن الناطقين بها، وهناك عوامل تقف وراء ضعف لغة ما، منها ما هو عدم كفاءة أهلها، ومنها ضعفهم في مقابل الآخر الذي يتمتع بقوة إقتصادية وتقنية عالية، فتقع على وسائل الإعلام وعلى أصحاب القرار المسؤولية في وجود مثل هذا الضعف.
أما المنهاج الذي سار عليه هذا الكتاب، فقد اتبع خطى الذين عملوا على تيسير النحو والصرف، كما تعرض لقاعدة إملاء الهمزة، عارضاً القواعد المطلوبة بيُسر، ومعرباً الأمثلة ذات العلاقة بالدروس المعروضة عند الحاجة.
