فقد اجتمعت على صفحات هذا الكتاب بحوث وأوراق عمل ندوة "الإحصاء وبحوث العمليات ومعوقات استخدامها في اتخاذ القرارات الإدارية في الدول العربية" والتي عقدت في يوليو 2009, وورشة عمل "تنمية مهارات العاملين لإعداد التقارير الإحصائية" في إبريل 2008, وكذلك ندوة "استخدام الإحصاء وبحوث العمليات في اتخاذ القرار" في نوفمبر 2008, وأخيراً ملتقى "الإحصاء وبحوث العمليات ودورها في اتخاذ القرارات" في مايو 2007.
وقد شارك في تقديم هذه البحوث العديد من الباحثين والخبراء, وجاءت مصحوبة بالصور التوضيحية والرسوم البيانية, وتم تفريغها جميعاً في هذا المجلد مما يعتبر إضافة حقيقية للمكتبة العربية.
