نقرأ في هذا الكتاب شرحاً للعقيدة الطحاوية لمصنفها الشيخ عبد الله بن محمد الهرري، الذي قام بشرح هذه العقيدة مرات منها ما اختصر فيه ومنها ما أطنب وهي المسماة "الدرة البهية في حل ألفاظ العقيدة الطحاوية".
جاء الشرح بقلم الشيخ سمير الكيفوني الذي وفق في شرح مقاصد الماتن رأي الشارح رحمه الله – الهرري – فوضع حاشية على الشرح الصغير لتزيده بياناً كما يقول وتتكفل بزيادة إيضاح معاني هذه العقيدة على حسب ما قرره علماء أهل السنة والجماعة مع بيان عوارِ وتحريفات أهل الضلال بالحجة والبرهان لا بمجرد الدعاوى لتكون للسُّنّى عموماً ولطالب العلم خصوصاً دليلاً وعدة وحصناً... هذا وقد اعتمد الشارح على كتاب الله وسنة نبيه ونقولٍ كثيرات من أقوال الأئمة، إضافة إلى تعليقات نافعة مأخوذة من شروح العقيدة الطحاوية لعبد الغني بن طالب الميداني صاحب اللباب في فقه الحنفية ... وآخرون.
تم تقسيم الكتاب إلى (168) فقرة، تضمنت كل فقرة منها شرحاً لمعنى من المعاني مثل: معنى العقيدة، معنى السنة، معنى الجماعة، معنى قوله على مذهب فقهاء الملة، تعريف أصول الدين، معنى ويدينون لرب العالمين، معنى المثلين، تسمية علم التوحيد بعلم الكلام ... الخ.
